Conservation organizations are very important to me. If you're an outdoor enthusiast, I hope they're important to you as well.
In our current political climate, it is not enough to simply love the outdoors and go hunting. We need to advocate for conservation and stand up for our beliefs.
Attending your local organizations' banquet is a great way to lend your support. As the Banquet Chair for South Metro Pheasants Forever and Denver SCI, I am acutely aware of the importance of these fundraisers. We are striving to raise money at these events, but it is also a great event to share news and inform our communities about important issues.
You don't need to spend hundreds of dollars to show your support - attending the event, asking friends to go with you, donating something for the silent auction, or volunteering to help with set-up or clean-up can be very beneficial to the organizations.
I hope you'll look into attending an event near you and helping out!
